In the 21st century, there are many high quality skincare products produced by Japanese skincare brands. Skincare brands from China are also emerging in the skincare industry. In fact, skincare has a long history in both China and Japan. Women in China and Japan were and are really concern about their skin health and beauty, especially on skin whitening.

In ancient China, people with white skin (or lighter complexion) were considered as elegant, well educated, noble and of higher social class. Since the ancient Zhou Dynasty (1046 to 256 BC), there has been an oracle word representing women washing their faces.

The history of Chinese Medical Science can be traced back to the ancient China. The skincare functions of many medicines were recorded in the ancient books. For example, Angelica Dahurica (Bai Zhi) was recorded as an ingredient for facial cream.

Skincare products including facial and hand creams were popular among both ordinary and noble women. Skincare products were considered as necessary by every woman.

Women in Japan put a lot of effort on skincare and cosmetic as well. In the ancient Japan, noble people lived in very big houses. These houses had very dim light. Therefore, it is easier to notice people who have white skin (lighter complexion). Such notice prevents one from crashing on the others. Therefore, noble women paint their faces in white. Since then, women with white skin (light complexion) are considered as beautiful.

The first whitening skincare product, SOIE DE REINE Beauty C Powder was introduced in Japan in 1966. This powder was produced by the famous Japanese skincare brand, Kanebo. Kanebo introduced many other whitening skincare products later on and it is still a famous skincare brand nowadays. In the last century, the concepts of UV protection and Melanin reduction have been introduced by Kanebo. Now, these concepts are still prevailing in skincare (skin whitening) industry.

Younger Look With Makeup

Age is always the biggest secret for women. Many people try to hide this secret up with their makeup. They put heavy makeup to conceal their imperfections that come along with their ages. In fact, have you ever seen a young girl who would wear heavy makeup? Probably not. That means, in order to look young, you need to learn the essential for a young makeup look.

Supple and radiant skin is essential to make you look young. Unluckily, skin cells lose their ability to retain water as you grow older. Some people think that by applying more makeup can help. In fact, it only gives the feeling of heavy makeup on an old woman. Heavier makeup is not a good way to make your skin look radiant and supple. The makeup itself draws moisture from your face. You need to apply sufficient toner and lotion to your face before applying any foundation or makeup. You may even use the toner as a facial treatment mask to enhance its effect.

If you have dry skin, you are advised to choose liquid foundation. For better choice, you can purchase foundation that is with miniaturization function. Another method to retain moisture is to substitute your foundation with the mixture of your lotion and foundation. Gently apply a thin layer of foundation onto your face. Then pat a little bit more powder with your makeup sponge.

Applying eye shadow is not difficult. For those who have years of experience on makeup, it is just a piece of cake. There are two tips for applying eye shadow. The first is to choose lighter colors of eye shadow. Light colors make you look young and energetic and that are the choices of young girls. The second tip is to use 3 different colors to produce the layer effect. One color of eye shadow fails to show your eye contour.

Eyeline to me is very important. I can attend a party without eye shadow on my eyes but I will never attend a party without my eyeline. Eyeline not only makes my eyes look big, it is also a modern element of makeup. I notice that quite a lot of people love a thick and dark eyeline. For a young look, you do not need that thick eyeline. A thin one will do. Also, black is not a good color to match with your light colored eye shadow, therefore, you may wish to use brown instead.

Curling your eyelashes is another important step to make your eyes look bigger. The tip for curling eyelashes is to stay and hold the eyelash curler for a few seconds. Do not press and release and press and release. After curling your eyelashes, it is always a good idea to apply your mascara. For a younger look, you need mascara, but not a lot like the Smokey eye makeup. Apply the mascara in a Z motion from the root to the top.

After your eye makeup, you need to apply your rouge. To look younger, you can pick the pink or peach ones. Darker colors usually give you a more matured look. If you have the darker (brown or dark orange) rouge at home, do not throw them away. You can make good use of them. First apply such brown or dark orange rouge upward from your chin. Then apply the pink or peach one on your cheek like drawing a circle.

The last part of the makeup comes to your lips. You seldom see young girls having dry lips. Their lips are always water shine and juicy. It is very much related to the lip gloss that they use (instead of lip stick). You can apply glossy lip gloss as well. Such lip gloss is extremely easy to apply. Just apply it like your lip balm all over your lips with a little more at the centre will be absolutely perfect.

Many ladies know the importance of skin care and therefore they pay a lot of attention to skin care every night. But, skin care in the morning is as important as that at night. As people are getting busier and busier, skin care procedures in the morning are often neglected.

Skin cells need water to live and to be healthy. The supply of sufficient amount of water is therefore a way to keep your skin healthy. There is a belief that drinking a glass of water immediately after your waking up is good for your skin and digestive system. Later on, some people are saying by drinking salty water instead of pure water is even better. There is no doubt for the goodness that offered by salty water to the digestive system, but the morning is not the right time for salty water. Instead of salty water, you are advised to drink honey.

Facial cleansing to many of you is a must in the morning as it wakes you up. You have to be careful in the way that you cleanse your face in the morning. For those who have normal or oil skin, you can use your facial cleanser. For those having delicate and sensitive skin, your skin can be too dry and sensitive to use facial cleanser. You can simple cleanse your face with water.

Other than the basic cleansing step, you can take 3 minutes to nourish your face. You may think 3 minutes are too short for a mask. In fact, the skin cells absorb most actively during the first 5 minutes for a 20-minute facial treatment. A 3-minute facial treatment is not bad. Usually, I apply wash-off mask while I am brushing my teeth. These wash-off masks are often in gel or cream form so that the mask does not fall off.

According to the skin care professionals, nutrients are most effectively absorbed in the morning. Therefore, it is important that you apply your most expensive skin care products in the morning. After applying such expensive essence, you should cover your forehead, cheeks and chin with your palm. The temperature from your palm facilitates the perfect absorption of such essence.

The final step for a morning beautiful face is lymphatic massage. You may have heard about the pain caused by lymphatic massage. But, when such massage is done on your face, it is not that painful. Lymphatic massage is very good at relieving puffy eyes and faces resulted by poor blood circulation. The massage is easy with only 3 steps. First, massage with your fist from the chin up to your ear along the side of your face. Then, massage with your index finger from the eye corner to your ear, also along the side of your face. Finally, massage your neck from your head and downwards.
